Harris + Harris acted for Gilderthorps, who as Trustee in Bankruptcy were endeavouring to realise the interest of a Bankrupt in a house + endowment policy.

The Bankrupt was represented by solicitors, who had previously put forward an offer of £6,000. After the Insolvency Department was instructed careful enquiries were made. After negotiations the Trustee's claim was settled by a payment of £40,000.
